Martha found a small article about the Phoenix Kart Racing Association in the Arizona Republic.  I was amazed to find out that I had lived in Arizona for over ten years and I had never heard of it.  On Sunday after church we decided to drive out to the track and check it out.  They were having a race.  When we walked into the grand stands there were kids in Kid Karts racing on the track.  Claire said “are those kids?” and I said yes they are,  she then said “I want to do this”.

 

We started talking to the pit gate guard and he gave us some good information,  just as we were about to walk away he introduced us to Barry Davies the race director.  Barry asked how old Claire and Amelia were, he then told us that Claire was old enough to race and Amelia could start practicing.

 

We returned to the track the next weekend to check out practice and we met Dan and Sean Conyers.  They recommended that we speak to Curtis Ruth at Innovative Karting.
