Curtis Ruth at Innovative Karting gave us great advice and guidance while we were shopping for karts.  We ended up purchasing 2 used kid karts from the father of one of Claire’s friends Mason.  They had everything that we needed to get Claire started except a motor.  We purchased a motor from Curtis and got Claire’s kart out on the track for the first time just before leaving for Christmas vacation.

 

Claire and Amelia thought a picture of us in our karts would be good for our Christmas card.  This is the picture that we used.  I had purchased my kart the day we took the picture.

 

After we returned from vacation we joined the Phoenix Kart Racing Association and Claire and I started driving on a regular basis.
